Here is the European map, end 2004, of the wind farm with installed power country by country.
Please note that the installed power is not the average effective power. These figures should be divided by 4 to 5 to obtain the average effective power supplied by the wind turbines over a year.
Thus Germany, European leader in installed MW level, in fact only has an average effective power of 3200 MW, or around 3 nuclear reactors.
As a reminder, France “needs” 57 reactors.
