Evaluation of emissions CO2 on the Grand Prix 1 at Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium GP) (16 September 2007) Pierre Ozer. Department of Science and Environmental Management. University of Liège.

Introduction

This study was conducted to estimate emissions CO2 issued on the occasion of the Belgian round of the Formula 1 championship to be held on September 16 2007 on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.

It remains totally factual and does not want to argue about the appropriateness of the organization of the Grand Prix.

To our knowledge, never Similar studies have been performed previously nor for the Belgian Grand Prix or for other Formula One Grand Prix 1. It seems we risky to generalize the results for this race to 16 other Grand Prix 2007 season, as the characteristics of each Grand Prix are different, especially regarding logistics implementation for certain tests such as those held in Australia, Asia or the Americas (massive and distant transport by air, including automobiles ...).
