Euro standards to limit pollutant emissions from new vehicles
Euro emission standards set the maximum limits for pollutant emissions for rolling vehicles. This is an increasingly stringent set of standards that apply to new vehicles. Its objective is to limit air pollution due to transport.
A vehicle sold in 2006 (EURO 4) globally emits 2 times less pollutants (if we do not consider CO2 as a pollutant) than a vehicle put on the market in 2002.
