Scientists from the Institute of Agronomy ATB Bornim (Institut fur
Agrartechnik Bornim eV) have developed and successfully tested a fuel cell process for biogas which is a great step forward for the generation of electricity from biogas. This is the first PEM biogas technology is available and affordable.
Editor Mr. Volkhard Scholz, the project team uses the ATB
a fuel cell polymer electrolyte membrane has (PEMFC) for
production of heat and electricity combined (combined heat and energy). The battery system has fuel was experimented successfully by several
major energy suppliers with home energy systems powered by natural gas. It can adapt without any problem to the case
requiring the various powers.
The results, which confirm that PEM fuel cells are adapted
biogas, are very promising for future applications.

On the viewpoint of energetics and ecological policy, the use of biogas in fuel cells offer a very effective combination of a renewable energy economically advantageous and ecological technology which presents the degrees of efficiency high.
