The Makhonine process: liquefaction of coal, a forgotten invention like so many others

Press review concerning the Makhonine process making it possible to obtain, from charcoal or wood, a liquid fuel located between gasoline and diesel.

These articles appeared in the press during 1981, no doubt following the oil crises of previous years. Here is a brief description of the process and the ensuing case (full patent at the bottom of this page).
