AFSSA and InVS are launching a national survey on the impregnation of the population by dioxins. Objective of these two public bodies: a possible quantify on-serum dioxin populations living near municipal solid waste incinerators (MSWI). About a thousand people will respond to a questionnaire about their eating habits and their environment and will be a mix of potential dioxin and heavy metals in their bodies. After a testing phase conducted at the end of 2004 to Gilly-sur-Isère (Savoie) and Pluzunet (Côtes d'Armor), the populations studied will be chosen around eight incinerators as well as in remote control areas of any UIOM . The results of the study are expected by mid 2006.
