Financial incentives for the purchase of vehicles emitting less CO2

To reduce France's national oil consumption and energy dependence and to fight against climate change, the government has implemented various measures to promote more energy-efficient vehicles: energy label, strengthening of the vehicle tax credit particulars, taxation on the registration certificate and tax on company cars.

The aim of all these measures is to inform consumers about CO2 emissions from vehicles and their energy consumption (energy label), to encourage the purchase of clean vehicles and with CO2 140 gCO2 / km (tax credit) and to penalize
vehicles whose emissions are greater than 200 gCO2 / km (registration and registration tax).
