Map Sun 2005-2006 - Solar water heaters, champion of saving energy, ADEME, 27 / 04 / 05
Since 2000, the date of its launch, the Sun Plan has created the conditions for a dynamic and sustainable solar thermal market: development of an effective professional network (industrial and network installers QUALISOL) relying on quality products tailored to the needs of the buildings and their occupants. Thus in 2004, the market for solar water heaters was particularly dynamic, with growth of over 50%. This momentum is expected to strengthen in particular thanks to the tax credit, since 1er January 2005 15 is passed from to 40% for equipment expenditures "Renewable Energies". To expand the promotion of collective solar water heater in 2005, ADEME strengthens its communication to communities and building managers.
Led by ADEME, local authorities and industrial partners, the Plan Soleil 2000 / 2006 is to ensure the dissemination of solar thermal applications in France. It concerns both collective applications (residential and commercial buildings) for hot water and heating the individual housing sector. It brings public awareness to an effort of training and qualification of installers networks. In 2004 the solar thermal market grew by more than 40% with the installation of 55 340 m © ~ installed sensors (38 840 2003 in).
The tax credit, "catalyst" of the Sun Plan for Individuals
Since the 1er January 2005, the tax credit for equipment expenses "Renewable Energies" in the main housing has increased from 15% to 40%. This tax measure accessible to all (whether taxable or not) is supplemented by local subsidies. Indeed, a large number of local authorities (nearly all the regional councils and some general councils and municipalities) continue to be associated with the development of the solar water heater by paying individuals direct premiums of 700 € on average.
With these aids, the growth prospects of 35 40% recorded in previous years could be revised upward if the trend of early this year 2005 continues. In fact, professionals recently reported to ADEME doubling solar water heater sales in January, February and March 2005, compared to the same period of 2004.
The Sun Plan incorporates the national mobilization campaign ADEME for energy savings
2005 the campaign for Sun Plan is in line with the tone developed 2004 on "Solar water heater, proceed to act! "To show the need and the ability to act effectively, individually and collectively: for the general public, it comes in 3 complementary components: a media campaign, a regionalised radio campaign and declination of communication tools in the service of the regions . The campaign will be complemented by a press campaign for the promotion of collective hot water from the fall.
Finally, this year, the Plan Soleil is now integrated into the national mobilization campaign "Energy saving. Let's do it quickly, it warms! "Launched in May 2004 by ADEME.
