Manufacturing press juice

Unread Messageby Paul » 29/08/11, 11:59

Hello,
I am trying to build a juicer juice (apple) a hydraulic pressure (jack cam 15 T).
the tank is high on 60cm diameter 43cm, it relies on a "floor" in Oak 60 / ep 57cm 35mm.
I am then to an iron framework that suporter pressure jack.
and there knowledge in matters of tensile strength (vertical part of the frame), and bending (horizontal portion) of iron are necessary for me to evaluate the mini dimention has taken for the realization of a sound framework.
it would be better for the IPN, or iron in H ??
Thank you for your help.

Hello Pablo,
In my area, in Belgium, an artisan press our apples for a low price, it is perhaps the case in your area.
It's just an idea like that.

The pressure on this vessel with 15 tons is about 10 and Bars is that the tank resists 10 bars (Well over 30 tons on its conference (if sealed piston) and therefore the tank may crack outskirts ??? ?

I think you do not need tons of 15 being a little patient as apples are crushed with a few kilos by Apple !!!

Sinon

In 15 tons must not harm steel and you can test on a bar that deforms and deduce its size needed.
The small diameter allows to use not too big.

But my snitch tells me you do not need tons of 15 !!
Unless you want to squeeze a full tank every minute !!!
Or extra green apples ???

and not in ariege not there, apart Renova, a assos, but has a bit rate elevé for me.
It is true that his T 15 done much, after combient to you enough? 8?
what is the pressure exerted by the screw of a same size press?
A yes as I am, is what quelq'un would know the size of the mesh bag used? that the Belgian artisan for example.
Thank you so much

Everything is in oak, except strapping course, and the drain ( ': mrgreen:')
Btw I read on a forum, it should not be (for a pasteurizer) use of copper pipe? (It gives the taste) what do you think?
Stainless steel is expensive, how were they doing before?
the alembic are they not copper? Yet it has not copper taste your hooch, if ??

For the tensile strength the selected profile has no importance, only the section and the quality of the steel account; 20mm two rounds of semi-hard widely stretched should do the trick.
In the upper part which hosts a perpendicular effort profile is another problem. The skilful seems to triangulate seriously profile chosen rather than surdimentionner said profile (note that this is a way to postpone efforts in traction, so in a very favorable configuration).

I detail a little more to be sure to be included:
At the center of the horizontal profile is welded a profiled vertical pillar (as it supports compression forces); then pulling a welded round at one end of the base profile is welded at the top of pillar folded * at this point to reach the other end as the top.
It works like on bridges ...

Last point: the profile IPN resistant than the H in this type of effort.

* If one does not have the possibility of bending, it is equivalent to use two steel rods instead of one.

Example trade press:
http://www.tompress.com/A-1073-pressoir ... itres.aspx

To see the structure, the strength reaches a few tons.
Otherwise the movement end of the lever report on movement of the piston multiplied by force exerted manually (tens of kilograms) gives the force.
1cm example by tower and leverage 50 cm course which 2x3,1416x50 = 314 times the force on the lever is to 10 kilos 3,14tonnes.

It is true that his T 15 done much, after combient to you enough? 8?

It all depends on the resistance of fruit; but they advise:
For pressing apples and other fruit with firm flesh, it will grind so as to squeeze out the juice through a manual or electric mill apples.

Then the force required is reduced and remains reasonable.

I discovered this issue too late ... you found the right resistance calculation method: to strengthen at random and if ca folds

this method is the best as there is nothing dangerous

note on hydraulic press, to not risk dropping the oil leak in the juice: put the jack under the tray under the tank was pressing: the jack raises all the tank: the frame around maintains the fixed upper plate

This is the classic solution of the old hydraulic press walnut oil

Another advantage when has relaxes the pressure of the jack, the weight of the tank makes rescendre easily and opens the press effortlessly

This is the classic solution also for press bonding wood
