YTONGMultipor: the insulation and plaster system for exterior facades

The facades of houses are often put to the test by being exposed to the vagaries of the climate. A good part of our dwellings also date from several decades ago and the facades of these dwellings are often less well insulated compared to what is desirable on the basis of current requirements.

The solution: facade insulation using XELLA YTONGMultipor mineral insulating panels. They are able to withstand bad weather and ensure heat loss through facades reduced to almost zero.

Heat loss from facades is a major cause of unnecessary energy consumption. More particularly in winter, a season when we lose a lot of heat. Conversely, in summer, insufficiently insulated facades lead to high interior temperatures and therefore the need to resort to cooling techniques.

In terms of sustainable development, this is not a desirable situation. Thanks to Xella's YTONGMultipor mineral insulating panels, the thermal resistance of a facade and, consequently, the comfort of the home are thus considerably improved.

YTONGMultipor, coated with a plaster, can be applied without problem as an insulating layer on an existing exterior facade.

Thus, the facade is not only insulated, but also benefits from a completely new sustainable appearance.

Benefits of YTONGMultipor:

- high thermal insulation
- optimum fire resistance
- shockproof insulation system
- aesthetic
- allows water vapor to pass
- reduction of thermal tensions
- no thermal bridges
- prevention of the appearance of algae and mold
- durability
- easy to implement
