ATV mode has helped bring to market robust and interesting bikes for urban travel. ATVs have several big advantages. They propose a third tray in front: it further expanded the range of usable speeds. Furthermore, the tires of large sections combined with powerful brakes (cantilever or, more powerful V-Brake) can improve notoriously comfort, handling and braking in all conditions. The folding bike is hard to find at low prices. Always prefer models with features which you will easily find spare parts (brakes, tires ...).
The bike of the "Computer".
Symbol of urban cycling in all its splendor, bicycles factors include a sum of advantages: very comfortable, allowing a heavy load, enduring ... The difficulty of these bikes is to achieve find one! It seems that one can buy new from Peugeot or Valdenaire (supplier La Poste sometimes changes) but the price must roll back more than one. However, these bikes are excellent machines for the city with a very studied ergonomics, fantastic brakes and maintenance ridiculous. If you do a lot of kilometers, for all time and that the speed is not a priority: a bike of this type will make you great services.

Some call the Bi-Cross. This is a bike small frame with wheels of 20 inches. often we see young people use this type of bike to do tricks. BMX are not as uninteresting as it sounds. The recumbent bike.
The recumbent appeared there very many years but it made a big breakthrough for some time only. Both say right away: the recumbent bike (or Bent) is really not suited to urban practice unless your city has many bike paths. It is far too low (read discrete), motorists are discovering at the last moment in a line of cars. The recumbent bike is not quite maneuverable in town.
