It seems a little fair to me.
40m pipe represent a significant loss of load, the flow may be ridiculous.

You need a pump capable of mounting at least 5 or 6 meters to have a reasonable flow (manufacturers always give the maximum height at zero flow).

Then a solar panel of a power (maximum there too) slightly higher than the power of the pump.

I think a pump like this one with an 40W panel could do the trick.

See all the posts by oli80, not the ram, but the paddle pumps that slowly turn along the river's current, even slow, and make the water rise in a serpentine even slowly to 1,2m, and even higher.
It could be a solution almost free, even with a current of a few cm / s.
Otherwise solar thermal pumping by evaporation condensation or air expansion is possible.
Example the fluidyne pump with a concentric mirror with parabola or cylindrical of the sun.
The same simple wind works.
It all depends on the flow requested on a day.

A noria?
It seems that it was invented more than 3000 years ago and that in some countries it is still used ... it is probably not for nothing.
