It is also the principle of underwater vacuum cleaners used during archaeological excavations (reminders on certain episodes of reports of the late Cdt Cousteau).

These 4CV 6bars motor pumps and Venturi effect in water, do not seem to have air bubbles, but a lot of stones and sands for gold washers !!

Useful with the powerful water jet also to dig wells, drill and reassemble debris !!
I take good note of it!

To put in the forum well drilling !!

cleaning dredgers

by oli 80 » 15/06/11, 19:01

Hello, in fact in one of the two links they explain that there are three types of suction dredgers, I prefer not to use their thermal baths otherwise I would be taken for an obsessed : Mrgreen:

1) venturi dredgers which use pressurized water to suck up,
pool vacuums to be connected to the garden hose work according to this principle

2) the air lift dredges used in deep water

3) the vase pump which can suck up large debris

as said dedeleco these dredgers can have other applications in fields other than gold panning, in fish farming for example or well drilling
