Deposit on pipeline

by val56 » 30/06/09, 21:42

Hello
I have been using rainwater for a year to supply my toilets and my washing machine.
I filter at 90 microns, I clean my filter once a month. It gets stuck with an ocher film.
I find this film in the channels after the filter. Will there be any particular consequences to this problem? How can we fix it?
Is there a solution to clean the pipes
Thank you in advance for enlightening me on this subject.

Ocher? like red ocher?
If so, could it be tile dust?

What material are your channels? What is the pH of your water, directly from the roof?

And your tank, is it recent or old?
Could it be brick?

Bonjour,

Is there a washable filter with mesh tighter than 90 microns?

the MEC316 filter (distributed by Jetly) has an original washable stainless steel screen of 89µ, and an optional washable stainless steel screen of 50µ ...

finer, it must be disposable ....

what material your tank?
is it equipped with pre-filtration (before storage)?
if yes, which type and which mesh?

-My tank was installed in early 2008
-It is made of concrete (5000l from Thébaut)
- anti-backwater inlet
-I suck the water 15 cm below the level thanks to a float
- my filtration before the pit is a bit random for the moment, I do tests in the manholes (30 * 30) with stockings, and currently I try headrest covers (luckily that the ridiculous does not kill ) : Lol:
- my pipes are mainly made of PE

Can you tell me where I can find this 50 micron sieve? The store where I bought mine did not know this sieve ...

Thank you for these responses!!!

I just contacted him and yes he can provide me with this sieve !!

And for a WC-washing machine use, how much should I get in filtration? 25 microns 10 microns?

Thank you
