There is nothing! nothing for 15 years, except this little filter of + - like size, a cognac glass :D
No, I don't drink it, but I brush my teeth with ...
To drink, there is water from the kitchen of the municipal network.
Underground concrete tank (7000 liters)
No decanter, and I regret it ... (it will come)
Tank cleaning every two years
No trees that drop their leaves into the gutter.

Finalement ... :D
When I look at the transparent filters of my neighbors,
I see pine needles ... dust, mud ...
Ha, yes, they have a plus compared to me ... no mud, and organic waste, etc ...
It protects the taps and flushes.
But for the good biological health of their water, there is nothing, because their water passes through the filter, and therefore crosses this waste permanently ...
So, even with a filter, they wash off with the biology of "bird poops" ...
In your diagrams, I have not seen a carbon filter ...
I am not a specialist in rainwater filtration, I simply share my impressions with you.

Right now, I'm in exactly the same situation as you, I've been doing this for about 10 years and I have never had any skin disease or anything else!
My filter is 25 microns; my concrete tank is 7.500 liters. This gives me about 3 weeks of autonomy without rain. I can go through a set of distribution water valves as I want.

My suction strainer is also at the bottom of my tank. Before that, I have a foam filter that I wash every 6 months.

I regularly clean my 25 micron filter (every 3-4 months) simply by putting a bucket underneath, opening the drain screw and reversing the water intake process. I replace this filter +/- every year.

I have been in my current home for almost 8 years. I had discovered this system in a previous house which I occupied for 2 years I had been conquered by the system, which I thus reproduced during the construction of my current house.

In 8 years, I have never washed the tank ... and no problem!

On the other hand, my pump (Stork brand self-priming electro-pump) died after 5 years. The repair had cost 50% of the new price ...

Bonjour,

@ Jonule,

do you remember .... on another subject ..... concerning other diagrams of other "not mentioned" sites ....?

that you answered me this:
jonule wrote:the diagrams which I found on autarky (sorry I do not find that important to quote, the info must be shared without patents) are an example obviously.

and now I see that you publish one of my personal photos .... and always without citing where it comes from ... !!!

(and without even explaining it a minimum either ... : Evil: )

well let me tell you now, and above all warn you .. that you start playing with fire !! ..

if ever one day I find another of my photos / diagrams that you would have posted elsewhere without my authorization and without citing its origin .. I promise you that I will not miss you ... !!!

for now, this is friendly advice, and just a warning ...
but beware friend ....!

a word to the wise ....
