I am already worried about the hay supply for next winter!
The 2010 stock is no longer available for sale, everyone is keeping it and waiting to see what the 2011 harvest will give and given the small volume made during the first cut, I feel that I will have some struggling to feed my horses next winter

I pity the horses.

In 1976, from March to the end of July, no rain and everything was dry, yellow without the slightest green, apart from the trees.

But considering the quantity of grass cut and mowed in town and gardens and thrown, also the edges of roads, it should be possible to use some as fodder, coming from the gardens of the neighborhood, instead of sending it to rot or to recycling center, as i see around my house ??????

Notice to interested parties, I offer free hay against cutting / weeding my garden !!! : Mrgreen: : Mrgreen:

Good without laughing (well if I am serious ...) yes it is worrying (in food in my previous message I included animal feed of course) ... I believe that the price of hay / fodder has already more than doubled ... I think the dairy people didn't need that !!

Is French hay also listed in Chicago? : Evil:

Prepare to have to pay, in addition to the increase in food prices, tax or drought tax ...

Are you talking about the "park and garden" maintenance of the roads?

Frankly the idea of going to mow the roadsides tempted me more and more. I feel like I'm going to bring out a good old fake ...
If I fill a bucket of pick-ups a day and I quietly fade it at home, I am sure that there is already enough to make a good ton of hay in the summer (out of the 4 that I have need for winter)

The drought with the rains has decreased a little and will not reach that of 1976, with the lawns greener than in 1976 in June and July.

In PACA it rained more in March and April, but not in May and I had more herbs to cut and pluck, than in the Paris region.
It rains more in PACA than in Paris !! in total.

Grass and hay by the roadsides is one way, but in the scythe of yesteryear, it is good for sports health.

Finally, having missed Christophe's answer:
https://www.econologie.com/forums/post203974.html#203974
Christophe at the bottom of the valley should drain his house better in the foundations, (big work done partially on his typical cellar:
https://www.econologie.com/forums/post137053.html#137053
which condenses especially in summer), and I'm not sure that the water underground flows like in the river, because there would be less underground perhaps, instead of coming out at the level of the river.
It may be that the flow of water underground deep is blocked (waterproof and thick clay?) And that it is possible to store heat in depth, as in an underground pool, with a little lucky, apart from cracks ?????
This is to be determined by sampling over months by measuring the diffusion of heat between two deep test polls (diffusion at the root of t or linear disappearance in t, t = time spent in months).
Finally the cracks can be blocked by cement injection, but it is to be developed technologically.
