This electric motorcycle concept was unveiled at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show, by the Japanese manufacturer Axle. His name ? "EV-X7". It weighs 200 kg and has an 25kW motor combining an electromagnet and a permanent magnet.

Thanks to this new engine, called Sumo and developed by its partner Genesis, the autonomy of the EV-X7 is 180 kilometers.

Awesome !

We approach the design of the recumbent bike, the comparable position, which is much more aerodynamic.

We are approaching the design of the recumbent bike

Yes, but above all it is more aerodynamic and there is a head rest, because when you pass the 160-180Km, even with a bubble, you end up having pain at once ...

But it's not in my habits to ride at this pace : Shock:

Neither on the neck nor the waist, but on the other hand, braking with a rain suit in K-Way style canvas (Bering combi) with the wet saddle that slips, well it hurt the necks ... : Shock:

In any case the machine is very nice, a longer position and a full fairing and presto it's good!

Motorcycle hydrogen

by bojourvous5094 » 07/04/06, 22:37

Hydrogen motorcycle

(QM) - This motorcycle marketed by Intelligent Energy, a British company, is the first hydrogen-powered motorcycle to be marketed.

ENV, the acronym for "neutral emission vehicle", looks straight out of a science fiction film. It must be said that its hydrogen engine represents the future of his race. Its structure, entirely made of a type of aluminum used in aviation, allows him to display a weight of 176 lbs (80 kg).

Its generator based on a hydrogen energy cell develops 2,4 kW. This produces the necessary electrical energy for the four batteries contained in the core.
The latter is removable and can be used to power other objects, such as a boat engine. Its maximum autonomy for a full load is 4 hours or 160 km for a maximum speed of 80 Km / h There are no speeds to pass, no noise, no emissions.

Its official release is scheduled for 2006
and its price will be around 6000 $ US.
