Making a solar LED lamp

by orbs » 11/04/08, 12:47

Hello
who can tell me the material needed to mount a solar energy lamp with LEDs. I would like a power expressed of 5 w at the level of leds to obtain the equivalent 40 w incandescent lamp.

solar part: what type of PV cells and their technical characteristics

storage part: what kind of battery and their technical characteristics

part leds: what kind of leds and their technical characteristics

Thanks for your precious advice.

Have you taken a look at the solar and LED material of our shop?
https://www.econologie.com/shop/solaire ... aique-c-35

For the panels: here is a 5W solar panel https://www.econologie.com/shop/panneau ... p-109.html

Practical application
This battery is suitable for use with:

* a solar panel of 5W
* and a solar voltage regulator

Example of use in solar lighting

An average sunny day will charge this battery to its maximum. Which will make it possible to use, for example our cheap low voltage bulbs with the following durations:

* 1 12V CFL 15V: 1h30 approx.
* 1 12 Luxeon bulb from 3W: 7h30 approx

3) Finally for LED bulbs, here are 2 models of 3W and 1W: https://www.econologie.com/shop/eclaira ... ique-c-100

According to the need for daily lighting you have 1 or 2 panels of 5W ...

Ben you will have trouble feeding batteries with a solar panel 12V or so you have to put a dozen in series ...
