Grrr: fair Senseo cartridges Oxfam

by Christophe » 21/12/06, 15:34

While looking for fair trade greeting cards, we came across a new Oxfam product: "fair" Senseo cartridges ...

I am outraged by such a product which has everything of an anti econological product, I do not understand how the decision makers of oxfam could have decided to make such a product (symbol of the waste of materials, money and individualism)...which goes against the principles fair trade: share wealth better !! : Evil: : Evil: : Evil:

Sorry, I don't subscribe to your opinion:

1) as much as these good people join a growing market.
2) :D you are probably not a lover of good coffee!

No elephant deal,

the coffee may be fair but the pod is disposable.
And it is not very economical.

Me I like coffee and not to go against the principles, I would have to start soluble coffee.

Argument: how much coffee do you actually pay for a dose of senseo compared to the total price which contains a large share of marketing?

On 10 € of fair-trade senseo and 10 € of fair-trade ground coffee, the small producer earns more in the second case ... since the senseo pods are certainly not made "there" ...

The "senseo" coffee is excellent but the pods are indeed anti-econological!
You have to find reusable "refillable pods" that true coffee lovers will fill with "fair trade" coffee.
The main interest of "senseo" lies in the high pressure (18bar).
Then we choose our coffee ...
Personally, I DON'T WANT A SENSEO : Evil:
(I recognize that the coffee is good), I don't want to give in to this fashion! Maybe in a few years, when the product is sold at its true value.

Besides, a question: at what pressure do the coffee machines work in "cafes"?

I think it's the same order of magnitude or a little less ... just like nespresso has 19 bars now for the general public ...

Tiens corollary: what is the "overconsumption" per L of coffee compared to a classic coffee maker ... : Mrgreen: (maybe even better less ...)
