Econology awards

by Targol » 11/09/06, 16:59

I don't know if you've ever heard of the "Darwin awards" but you at least know the Oscars, the NRJ music awards, etc ...

I was wondering if it would be nice to organize Econolgie awards?
The principle:

  • 2 major types of awards: Bad and good students.
  • For each type, several categories, for example: vehicles, companies, politicians, etc ... (to study more finely)

The "competition" would take place in 2 phases:
  • 1ère phase: proposals from econologists. Members of forums propose one or more nominees in the different types / categories. To avoid controversy, these appointments must be supported by objective arguments.
  • 2th phase, at the end of a defined time, the vote among the nominees retained among those of the first phase. This vote could be made either from the site (thus potentially open to all, including occasional visitors), or from forum, for registered users.

Each phase would last a certain time in advance and known to Internet users.
At the end of the 2nd phase, we could award the "Econologies Awards" and the "dustbin awards" for each category.
(maybe we should find names and "statues" for these awards).

What do you think ?

Excellent idea, for our part with Christine we had already thought of awarding anti-econo prizes (bad students ...) to certain "everyday" consumer products ....

An example that comes to mind: the new pringles that have just been released in "individual" portions .... : Evil:

In the food category I offer "vitalitos" water bottles: http://www.vittel.be/fr/vitalitos.aspx
In the ratio calories contained in the packaging / calories contained in the product, one must have a record

You should go for a walk in Japan: they are the specialists in individually wrapped biscuits, possibly with a bag of silica-gel (and it's not "we say": my beautiful daughter brings me back every time she comes there. go )
