Pink Lady: potato who thinks he is a pear!

by Christophe » 25/02/16, 18:26

I bought for the first time Pink Lady today: 2.79 € / kg is 2.5 3 times the price of Jonagold (my favorite variety) ...

I was expecting an apple ... exceptional taste: that neni, the Jonagold are better (for me at least).
In addition to the Pink Lady are small ... and many were damaged ...

In short, could someone explain to me what justifies this price? Equivalent to that of pears ...

Hello, I think that there is a big work of sorting of calibration but especially for the proportion of colors (red-green). They are very pretty on the stalls but they are not my favorites either.

Pretty one? I have not seen anything especially beautiful, a jonagold is just as beautiful: and I do not ask a fruit to be beautiful but good! Ralallala what are these consumers?

After that it is sure that as it is the end of the season that must be the last "models" ...

In fact, I thought (???) that their pulpit was pink which would have justified their price and I wanted to show this to my little one. THAT NENI! : Cheesy:

Bah! Too easy, but so tempting that I did not resist!
The "pink lady" is a product of globalization; moreover, it is not strictly speaking a variety, but a registered trademark, which justifies my previous comment.

But you did well! Especially since we are on the same wavelength!

Globalization? Do not tell me that I bought imported apples? : Shock: : Cry:

Given the price per kg, it's a nice shot punk marketing (I have to invent!) ... for me the pink lady is worthless!
Punk Lady would be better for them !!

Well we invent this pink apple? :D

ps: next to the punk lady there were "two-tone apples" ... at the level of the skin I saw nothing particularly two-colored ... sold in trays 3 € for 6 small apples ... again a nice shot punk marketing! Should talk more: marketing punk or how to take the customer for a big asshole! Another good idea found on econology!

Last week my nephew gave me a Netflix access .... I had a depressing WE in front of several documentaries ... Including one in which Mr Bourguignon was talking about apples ... On the 25 varieties of apples growing on the French territory at the beginning of the century there remains only 5 ... Oddly these are the derivatives of the golden which as by hazrd is the one that requires the most chemical treatments ...

For the taste .... Even if they are varieties of me ... often they are green geuillies ... So they have less taste than a betterrave ...

Yes, but if you're talking about marketing, people do not see the scam! Except those who have done Marketing Schools lol!

You do not want us to develop the concept? :)
