Global warming in pictures

by Christophe » 05/08/07, 23:18

It's by the way and it's been done by NASA:

https://www.econologie.com/animation-de- ... -3423.html

The last few years are a little "scary" ... but let us remember this curve with in mind "planetary inertia" estimated at 20 years.

Some questions:

1) What do the colors mean? Variation compared to an average?

2) From what sources was this animation drawn? NASA has satellites only since the last decade ... I want to say that we must take into account the evolution of the accuracy of the statements.

It does not work for me the link for the animation of NASA.

I tried other link and it works for the download (so this is not a problem of my browser) :?:

: Arrow: Nasa, on the other hand, did very well, they managed to go back to 1860.

I just tried again and after 5 minutes I'm on a blank page and nothing happens
(the page is: https://www.econologie.com/file/videos/1 ... 0x240.mpeg)
And on the page for access to the download there is the possibility to see recent downloads, there are several times the video but his departure on the link given by Christophe. : Cry:

: Arrow: Maybe it comes from my home, if other people have managed to see it they say it, thank you

Strange, what is your connection?

Right click on the .mpeg link and save the target as.

It should be fine...

for your 2 interrogations I confess that it is to understand nothing there.
Especially if we look at the poles, they go through all the colors of the rainbow.

It must be the variations compared to a local average ...

Now it is the last years which are impressive because "everything" turns red ... :|

Thank you, but I have it now on my computer. : Mrgreen:

On the other hand it's true that almost everything goes red :|

By cons a weird thing on the video at the beginning there is a big red spot on the side Alaska Northwest.
May be a volcanic irruption

Bonjour Christophe

The "must" bothers me. A cartography without explanation of the correspondences of the colors does not mean anything at all.

It can be done for, so that everyone can fantasize about his explanation .... and its global warming. : Mrgreen:
