Excellent site. We can clearly see the large emitting countries USA Canada Russia India China Germany South Africa.

What would be interesting is to see the absorption by the oceans and plants. They should not keep pace with excessively high emissions.

Germany from an energy point of view is "double-sided", or Doctor Jekylll and Mr Hyde ...

On the one hand they are leaders in renewable technologies and installations (Stirling, solar ...)

On the other hand, they are big fans of coal plants. On the one hand because they have many, on the other hand because the anti-nuclear lobby is quite strong in Germany.

And then they are too dependent on Russian gas. Like us, but we have nuclear power that saves us a little ... Nevertheless, we should have developed something else a long time ago ...

Nice this breathingearth site!

What scares me is the imbalance between births and deaths. The population must really decrease on this planet !!! Otherwise, it will be difficult to get out of it.

Infinite growth only exists in astrophysics (and again).

Same observation as Arthur on demography. Yet it seems to me that this is one of the main challenges for the future of the planet. As a great philosopher said, "the more we are, the less rice there is" ... I will add "the more there is CO2"

But that nobody seems to take it into account.

Because it does not go in the direction of economists, nor in the sense of the instinct of reproduction.

However, certain species know how to regulate their number when competition in the environment becomes too strong (no, I'm not talking about the mafia, though ...).

And then, we lack a few predators ...
