The Elysee launches a website to attract climate researchers
A slogan, a video, a Tweet relayed near 240 000 times, and now a website. The executive is playing all the springs of modern communication in its media counter-offensive to the US decision to withdraw from the Paris agreement.
Launched on Thursday, 8 June, the platform Makeourplanetgreatagain.fr, in English only, guides researchers, entrepreneurs, NGO members or students wishing to settle in France and develop projects on climate. "This is an unprecedented move," says the Elysee, to lead the fight against global warming and affirm the leadership of France. "
The site is also a tool for presidential promotion. It opens with the speech of Emmanuel Macron, in the evening following the announcement of Donald Trump, Thursday 1er June, to cancel the commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions made during the COP21 in December 2015.
