Nuclear on alert on France3

by Christophe » 03/03/10, 22:07

Tonight at 22pm on France55:

Documentary by Thomas Johnson.

Can a nuclear accident like that of Chernobyl occur in France? Is the proliferation of nuclear power plants around the world to alleviate energy problems a good solution in the medium term? In the form of a real-time simulation, this film tells how and under what conditions a nuclear power plant accident - whether terrorist, military or civilian - can occur in France, in a power plant located on the coast of the Handle.

http://guidetv.france3.fr/jsp/prog/fich ... g=31736857

Today we have Thomas Johnson, author of the documentary Nuclear on alert.

“Managing a nuclear accident has become, in the face of the development of this energy in the world, a major concern of all States, in particular in France, the most nuclearised country on the planet.

Since Chernobyl, we know that zero risk does not exist. No country is immune. However, the number of plants is growing and the nuclear race is well under way.

Why are we told nothing? What should be done in the event of a new tragedy? How would they organize themselves, at the health, military, technological, media, economic and political level? How to cope in the short and long term?

The Nuclear on alert tells, thanks to an international survey and reconstitutions, how the States are preparing to manage, in particular since September 11, a new nuclear disaster ... "

but you know well, we have good customs officials and they stopped tchernobil at the border .........

one of the future problems is the aging of the power stations, then the control of the personnel (you never know, a madman!)
but also the waste how to treat it, tons of radioactive metals ... and brown gas? .........

remarkable report on A3

by dedeleco » 18/03/10, 02:31

This report from the A3 was remarkable and I recorded it and we must all review and meditate on it !!!
The nuclear risk is first of all a Chernobyl-type accident dispersing radioactive elements everywhere making an entire region uninhabitable for hundreds of years, evacuated in less than a day, long before that of the waste which is in principle less dispersed.
Nuclear must be infallible and it is humanly impossible !!!
It will happen again with certainty sooner or later, hopefully elsewhere than in France?
To read this report too:

Pray that this will happen elsewhere ??

To evoke the gesture of a "deranged" or the aging of nuclear power plants as a major risk of accident is to ignore the major risk of a nuclear accident: the unconsciousness and greed of certain current managers of nuclear power plants.

The few news items that have been publicized in recent years concerning nuclear accidents or pollution have above all shown the "lightness" of these leaders who have often given priority to the economy, profitability and personal financial interest rather than safety: waste buried in public land, employment of subcontractors or untrained temporary workers for on-site interventions, ...

Reminder of a real joke by geologists:

Where is a fault line?

Reply :

Under a nuclear power plant.

frightening

by dedeleco » 19/03/10, 23:56

I am frightened by the almost 'absence of reactions on econologie.com on this problem of the major nuclear risk !!!!
Like the French, and the ostriches, we refuse to face this real risk in the face !!
When it occurs (a matter of chance, but sooner or later this catastrophe will occur, like an earthquake of force 7 to 8 in France) it will be too late and we will be as for the hurricane Scynthia to wonder why we did not anticipate the evidence effectively:
how the inhabitants behind a dyke making it very visible that they were very below the maximum sea level, did not plan anything on their own or on the impetus of the mayors and the prefect !!! Result 55 dead.
At least one inflatable boat, a ladder, an opening or an additional floor, to climb on the roof, etc ...
As with the infallible dyke for 230 years, we get used to infallible power stations for 35 years without acting to get out of this nonsense !!
At least don't vote for those who want to continue this foolproof nuclear nonsense !!
Do not take electric heating and even heat pumps, which push to develop endless nuclear power !!
A3 mentioned that all those less than 500 km from a nuclear power plant must have iodine tablets in the event of a nuclear accident, ie all French people, so as not to reproduce the Chernobyl error at 3000 km !!!!
Nobody has one !!!! Even at 3Km !!
When the accident happens, it will be too late and it will happen sooner or later because men and nuclear power cannot be perfectly infallible in perpetuity.
So, in one night, as for Chernobyl, we will have to evacuate an entire region (not a small village as in the exercise shown by the A3, but big cities) without any hope of return, abandoning all our past and our goods without knowing where to live, because nothing will be possible to accommodate us (millions of inhabitants on the roads).
The authorities will lie and not believing them we will all leave at 90 ° from the wind by small roads (blocked highways).
To do this, you must always have your car tank full, cards, food in stock, masks, etc. !!
So the French will wonder how they could have voted for nuclear power ??
It will be too late !!!
Countless deaths over 30 years and underestimated, 100000? 1million, with lies, as for Chernobyl !!
My assessment of the probability of a dramatic nuclear accident is 10 to 100 times that of an earthquake force 7 to 8 (every 1000 to 3000 years in France), therefore less than a century.
There are geological faults everywhere and during large earthquakes we discover faults that have gone unnoticed.
Even more, the quietest places, without earthquakes for a long time, can be those blocked and preparing a huge earthquake to unblock the fault !!
We planted the nuclear power plants before we carefully researched the faults and therefore they are all on faults, like our houses.
No more than for the major earthquake, we will not have insurance against such a nuclear catastrophe, because the insurances do not have enough reserves and like AIG, they will be bankrupt and France with, too !!

I live in Brittany, towards the east I would throw myself in the mouth of the wolf.
Towards the west, north and south, I would be quickly stopped by the sea.
Only the solution will remain under the green algae,
not obvious that it works.

You have to go by boat far !!
We all breathed nuclear tests in the open air from the 50s to 70s and also Chernobyl and we risk micrometric plutonium dust anywhere in the world (bird poop from Chernobyl).
It is enough to irradiate a small area around 0,1mm which becomes cancerous and kills us years later !!
Eat fruit, it reduces the risk !!!

It seems to me that it was Hubert Reeves who said: nuclear energy is the energy of the Angels, you have to be perfect to master it!
Apart from the human species being very perfectible, nuclear power in its hands becomes the energy of the devil!
As you say Dedelco, one of the specialty of our policy is to act after an accident!
examples abound: fire in the Mont Blanc tunnel despite the proven dangers etc ...
A good politician must know how to anticipate, unfortunately this species seems to have disappeared ...

Boats will be taken by storm, like highways.
By cons, I eat a lot of fruit, I may have a chance to get by.
