Nuclear: dismantling impossible? Arte Thema

by Christophe » 21/05/13, 20:21

Tonight at 20pm, Arte Thema on nuclear dismantling ... impossible?

From France to the United States via Germany, the countries that have bet on nuclear energy are today faced with a new challenge: the dismantling of their aging power stations or those that have been permanently shut down. Forty years ago, their designers did not foresee that, having become too old and therefore dangerous, these reactors should one day be dismantled, and that their highly radioactive waste should be stored. If operators and nuclear safety authorities claim to be able to control this dismantling process, the reality is quite different.

It's over (this is the debate) .. I haven't learned much (more than what we said in the 2 subjects mentioned above and elsewhere on forums).

I left a comment while posting the subject: https://www.econologie.com/forums/pourquoi-d ... 10729.html
