Problem in filtering used frying oil!

by pity12 » 25/07/08, 14:50

I've been riding the GO + used frying oil mixture for three years
summer 70 frying oil
winter 30% frying oil
of course with _a Bosch pump
I manage to harvest no frying oil near restaurants, snacks ...
the concern is to filter it
at the start it goes but when I get to the end the oil turns white and thickens
which makes filtration difficult
what is this white dough ,,,,,,, ???
how to remove it?
...thank you in advance : Cheesy:

These are the ugly saturated fats in hydrogen ... or maybe even a little glycerin. This is what is precisely extracted from oils to transform an oil into a diester.

There is not much you can do about it and in fact it is better that they do not reach your engine.

Hello

when you get your oil from the barrel of the restaurant
you coarsely filter it to remove the potatoes or other large debris, you store it in a warm place 25c is more, you let it deposit if you are patient for 1 month, then you squeeze the voucher
and you filter there are different ways
white or reddish cream you do not use it. It clogs the filters and a tendency to seize the injectors when stopped
the white background is an oil with% water and fat
take a sample from the bottom, heat it, you will see that you cannot exceed 100c it boils once exceeding 100c leaves it to rest you recover a little oil, the rest at the bottom is glycerin fat not usable.

Certain restaurant works fat

There are other methods to get the most out of the oil, but not always simple for a handyman with little tools.

What you need to know the decantation speed depends on the oil temperature or its viscosity, an oil that is too thick can take months to decant, in winter it does not decant

Hello
oil, the white part is often water particles which "trap" part of the oil ... to be recovered (drawn off) with heat or pressure.

me is starch from fries, or water for cleaning fryers.

this thick part must be scraped off and removed from the filtering machine.

I drop it in a cone of sginalization (orange) via a half-quilt, it gives 50% more oil!

there is finally a fairly thick product, which I mix with sawdust (I cut my wood): this makes a super fuel (bio-log), which we form with a sheet of newspaper or cardboard.

I do like this:

Hello,

The easiest way is to let the oil settle for about 2 weeks and only filter the "clear" part.

What filtration technique do you use?
And what is one vehicle and its engine?

Very good link for oil: www.oliomobile.org

I have a 309 diesel bosch pump which has 370000 kms of which about 60000 with oil
for the istan I am 70% oil and 30% go
I leave the oil to settle for a week or two and I have just found sieves 45 cm in diameter with three different medium coarse meshes and be very fine about 20 microns
then I put it in a 200 can
there) I leave the container in the open air so that the oil can oxidize
I tilted the container slightly to have the deposit always at the bottom
here is
and then all the bottoms of cans which are a sticky pe I heat it and I filter behind

I use the same method, except that I leave to settle for 1 month.
For filtration, I tested my filter with an electric pump: 200 liters in 30 minutes (no more coffee filters)
:D Pitivie, I have a few questions for you, since you've been driving for a longer time than me, with oil: (6000 km)
I'm at 50/50 (oil / go)
Do you also have a blue cloud at startup?
What% tage do you wear in winter?
Do you have a pre-wash pump?
Thank you

hi what do you have as a pump filter?
you put it in the suction? or to refoulement? the filter
at startup in the morning she smokes a black for 5 seconds then she coughs a bit due to the 70% oil but I let it run at a slower one or two minutes after c niquel
in winter I put about 25% because she sleeps in the garage
on the other hand I have neither pre-wash pump nor heater
I tried an electric heater but it was not enough its heated not fast enough
here is gespere having answered your questions?

Hello
For the white "cream", I noticed that it was present in greater quantity when the frying oil contains palm oil.
