Hello ,
I have a pb on my generator driven by a horizontal 5 hp B&S: I melted the connecting rod
I hesitate to tap on it to take out the rotor and the launcher side has the impression that the flywheel is crimped
Who can tell me how to get the villo out
I would like to find the exploded

please

it is current currency fart a wrist (rod) on these engines
the biele is in duralumin and costs a 10 $ and is easily changed
loosen the flywheel nut flush with the last thread with a bronze is an aid that holds the engine by the flywheel, a hammer on the nut, without twisting the threads, it will come out it's conical with a half key moon
open the crankcase remove the connecting rod examine the bearing on the crankshaft if necessary with a strip of sandpaper 250 a little bit of polishing, clean well with diesel to remove traces of sanding put oil on the bearing and reassemble everything

The connecting rod flies when it turns faster than 3600rpm or when there is a lack of oil, or when the engine has been running in an abnormal angular position (mowers which cut in an embankment, it is necessary to reverse the position so that the oil arrives at the connecting rod, it is grease by bubbling, it is also necessary to change the oil once a year working or not working ..
