Valbois ASBL, activities on wood (heating) in Wallonia

by Christophe » 03/02/10, 12:42

According to the newsletter of www.valbiom.be :

Wood routes

The asbl ValBois offers several concepts of activities with a view to raising public awareness of wood and forests in all its facets and promoting a modern image that is part of sustainable development. These different concepts are:

1) The wood routes: series of activities linked around a theme and
intended for a well-targeted audience (schools, general public, groups,
professionals, seniors, etc.). The roads are open all year round, on specific dates and spread over the year if necessary.
Currently 463 activities are offered and presented between
others on the website: www.lesroutesdubois.com

2) The we of wood: a full weekend of open doors, always the
3rd we in October (this year from 15 to 17/10/2010).

3) New concept - loops of wood: from 2 to 6 activities grouped around a theme and for a period of a few hours to several days and open to the public all year round (with the possibility of fixed dates). Ideally, the loop should be cross-border, but that is not a requirement.

Walloon wood energy is currently not represented within
of these concepts. If you are interested in setting up a
initiative, ValBois will provide you with all its know-how
in terms of communication and the creation of tools.

You will thus be able to benefit from great visibility. Could be considered a wood route in the sector of companies associated with wood energy or a loop called “From seed to flame”, these concepts can be declined in many different ways.

A registration process comprising several stages must be respected to propose activities. For more information regarding the procedure, we advise you to contact the persons below.
