Yes I love this passage:

However in January 99, an official of the Ministry for the Environment contacted me again to tell me that I had to pay the TIPP and that he was going to come and have a meter put for my stove and my boiler! "Oh boy if you come, you find yourself in the tank!".
He did not come.

On the other hand, this one is a little "big"

There was more than enough gas produced. I could even have run the car with it. But the State told me that I had to pay the TIPP: Internal Tax on Petroleum Products. Since I didn't want to (normal, I have cows, not an oil well!) They took away the installation grant!

How to withdraw a subsidy?

How to withdraw a subsidy?

after the oil shock in 78 it was a question of making methane on agricultural farms and then apparently in 1981 everything stopped, more subsidy, many found themselves paying for the installation or abandoning it half-built. .but what could there have been in 81 ??? ah yes the presidential, it should not be to the taste of the new government of the time.

and I think they used the LPG car excuse to say "NO"

In any case it works! on the news, he had shown a duck farm that made biogas.

if not a site which makes biogas and which sells electricity to EDF:

"How do I withdraw a grant?"
simply by no longer being eligible! :(

Well if it's an investment subsidy ... I can't see the ademe (or other) coming to ask the peasant to reimburse ....

If it is a subsidy to the purchase of electricity the recess is easy ...

One thing to make a digester is that it's just an improved septic tank with an agitator and a heating system.

a septic tank produces methane, but since production is slow, gas does not accumulate.

however, it is not recommended to approach matches.

for digesters, fermentation takes place in 3 phases.
-hydrolysis of celluloses in carbohydrates, sugars etc ...
-transformation of carbohydrates into organic acids.
-transformation of organic acids into methane.

a phase likely to block the others.
if we put starch and cellulose together, the starch decomposes more quickly into acid and this acid risks blocking the degradation of cellulose.

It is better to put inhomogeneous materials.
