Belgium Hainaut, research store polycarbonate plexi

by owen » 11/09/08, 12:23

Hello,

To design a forced air panel, I try to find a store that manufactures polycarbonate or plexy glass of at least 4mm

My dimensions are 315cm x 150cm.

Where can I find this cheaply in the Charleroi region?

Thank you

A store generally does not manufacture :)

Bah ya Leboutte sells by correspondence I believe.
It is near Marche.

On the other hand, zon pitch of 4mm it starts at 6:

It will cost you between 60 and 80 € just the plate...

When I got back from work, I stopped by dear Mr Bricolage and Gamma.

They sell 4mm clear polystyrene. The links on the net that I have read on self-construction are either windows whose constitution is low in iron, or polycarbonate. And can polystyrene or plexiglass be used?

A piece of advice, avoid polystyrene if yours has to see the sun, it will yellow and become fragile over time, even if it is shock polystyrene.

For the same polycarbonate if it is not anti-UV treated, otherwise it is generally guaranteed for 10 years.

The best remains the PMMA (plexiglass) can sensitive to daylight, but more brittle than Polycarbonate.

Well yes, I thought the same thing, it seems obvious... :?
In addition, you can buy it used in La louvières.
There is a second-hand materials vendor (between the station and the bowling alley)
