A small article that gives down to earth with regard to energy self-production... and shows the relationship to the energy that the Americans have (Quebecois included) compared to the Europeans ... 26 kWh of electrical consumption per household ca must be quite rare in France .... even with Vivrelec ( ).
Obviously with a cost of electrical energy 5 to 10 times cheaper ... finally a large% in Quebec is hydraulic ...

Well, yes... not too long ago André had talked about his annual electrical consumption ... enormous! (for a European.)
Why should they do without consumption if it is not expensive.
It is the fault of their government.
The scale of values differs from one continent to another.

Not that the government ... these are mainly technological and behavioral habits.
But I believe that 80% of Quebec's electricity is hydraulic, so it's a lesser evil ...

Yes Maloche but question: pkoi Edf's hydraulic electricity is sold 5 times more expensive than that of HydroQuebec?
In addition, the pro nucelarians argue that nuclear is a cheap energy ... they will come back on this one

However, the subject on the "liquid" storage of electricity (a large battery of thousands of m3 of acid) would allow the power produced by solar and wind power to be spread.
finally this solution could be interesting
