The government wants to prevent us from recovering water !!

Despite the Grenelle de l'Environnement, the government of Nicolas Sarkosy seeks to restrict the use of rainwater only for toilets. By this action, they want to KILL rainwater.

This limit of uses is simply due to enormous pressure from water distributors on Ministries (lobbying)

Our European neighbors have long understood the ecological stakes of the recovery of rainwater. They favor this concept for more complete uses in terms of use and less restrictive in terms of technical conditions!

Thank you for signing the online petition to make our leaders aware of this ecological and essential gesture that is the recovery of rainwater!

I did not understand everything: in the bill on eau de sable.com, we refer as usual to the implementing decrees. Anyway, nothing will prevent a good Belgian (apparently the French are more respectful of the laws : Cheesy: ) modify its installation after inspection. Have I missed something?
On the other hand, we can see that this kind of text is made to make business work: approved business, approved equipment and everything and everything. It's like solar heating.

Well yes, rainwater is for the flush and the garden!

Should not drink it :!:

The roof is yucky in general, and the clouds sometimes too ...

Unless you have your mini purification plant, basically boil it tenderly with a fractional distillation column ...

I would be surprised if a nasty gendarme would come and give you a report for having put a can under your caterpillar with a watering can next to it. :D

It is obvious that we can not put it in the kitchen and that it is risky to use it for the shower because the children could swallow it. On the other hand, after decantation (in the tank) and filtration, it can advantageously be used for washing, cleaning floors and vehicles.

Yes, these are good ideas. But you still need a little "gear" and organization 8)

I use rainwater for the toilet, the washing machine and the dishwasher.
This has been going on for 10 years and we have no worries.
more than 2 years that I have not put salt in the dishwasher and it is
wear very well.

The only precautions to be taken are to avoid contaminating the water.
by conifer pollens in spring (this has already started on the Huy coast),
the beech buds thereafter and the leaves in autumn.
The worst is the pollen, when this happens you have to rinse the tank well.

As for the water dispensers, I said nothing. My consumption is regular from one year to the next which is
the best guarantee to have peace.
Live hide, live happily!

@ Rabbit,

you don't have a water diversion system before it enters the cistern ... ??
which would allow you to allow the first rain to drain away after rewashing the roof, to then collect much cleaner water.
