Re: New type of pump without electricity or heat engine
Hello,
What is the advantage over the ram pump?

Re: New type of pump without electricity or heat engine
Hello Bignon,
There seems to be a distributor at the top, at the bottom a piston of strong section compressed on another of small section to give a high pressure (but lower flow).
I post here the concept of the pump
you should give a little more your contact information for visitors (at least one contact email)
Kind regards.

I also thought of the hydraulic ram when I discovered the principle ... and the double piston makes me think of the Stirling engine ... (by far ) ...
Has a prototype been made? If so, what are its performances?

Re: New type of pump without electricity or heat engine
Hello,
It's interesting. If I understand correctly the operation is similar to that of a pump Aries to know that the energy necessary for the operation of the pump comes from the gravity of the water, otherwise it requires an external source of energy.
It would be nice to have a small schematic film (gif) that details the operating principle, because I have trouble seeing how the pump works in detail.
Otherwise, there are very old pumps with single piston system and double compression chambers, but they need a source of energy.
At the limit, if we want these types of pumps do not use any source of electrical energy or heat, we can imagine that the wheel that actuates the piston is driven by a paddle wheel in the stream of water.
Here are 2 old pumps that I recovered and disassembled to see the system: 1 central piston with 2 compression chambers and valves. Note that the piston seal on one of them is provided by 2 thick washers in ... leather!

Bignon
I have read the PDF file on your pump: as much as I understand that we can use the gravity of the water to draw an energy (eg a waterfall or water from a high point), or use the force of a current like a paddle wheel or a turbine in a torrent, however it seems to me more uncertain to be able to go up seawater from deep by simply using the capture of a drilling located in height.

Remundo,
did not have time to read the pdf at the head.
Is it true science and technology, or even a story that creates energy "nothing"?

Re: New type of pump without electricity or heat engine
In the last sketch we use freshwater collected at height that is thrown back to the sea (at sea level) to pump salt water only for the purpose of air conditioning.
It seems to me that it is a waste of fresh water?
The idea of recovering the condensation water on the cold pipes is interesting, but what volume compared to the water wasted?

it is still a while that we know how to use the gravity energy of water.
To put it simply we could build a turbo-compressor, with a Pelton turbine for example and a centrifugal pump on the same axis?
In Reunion the fresh water is rare and rationed, depending on the season it is cut off from 22h to 6h in the morning, the wisest would be to store it as high as possible ...

Re: New type of pump without electricity or heat engine
Hello, that makes me think of some model of pumps on the site of Régis Petit
in the "other unusual pumps" section http://www.regispetit.fr/belier.htm
i do not know if it's the same system but something similar exists https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lambachpumpe
http://www.oberwipper.de/oberwipper_con ... umpen.html
http://www.blankenheimerdorf.de/html/lambachpumpe.html
sorry the links are German but there are schemas
cordially
