insert heating problem

by kevlekvdu02 » 17/02/14, 14:58

hello to all I am new on the site, I ask you some advice at the level of my insert to improve the system.
my problem is that I installed myself a godin brand insert 14 kw name thiolet

my problem is that I have trouble heating my living room 38m² (about 20 degrees
I think my installation is not correct:
I installed my insert in an old open fireplace made of ashlar, I made my ceiling of decompression according to the norms, I dressed the bottom of my chimney in refractory brick, my insert '' swims '' in my chimney on each side I have about 15cm it is mounted on a base, below this one I have outside air hatch which served for the chimney with open fire which are always closed, my draw is correct my wood is dry (ash ash beech and birch charm)
I load it often and it does not rise badger a good bed of embers

Hello,

immediately I see 2 points to check

1. Where does the heat show in the hood? she has to go to the room
2. connect the stove air intake directly to the outside air supply
