Deep geothermal: Danger?

by roy1361 » 21/07/13, 12:31

Hello,

We recently saw an Alsatian village "deformed" because of geothermal drilling for a private heat pump.

In Switzerland, there are different tests that are carried out for deep geothermal energy (between 3500 and 5000 meters). Sometimes it does not go very well either:

The solution of deep geothermal energy is excellent, but you have to be careful at these depths ...

There are also cases in Germany:

http://www.stuttgarter-zeitung.de/inhal ... 1f4d7.html

But there, as the Alsatian case it seems to me, it is simply a question of drilling for water / water heat pumps on water table, "abusively" (in my opinion) called "geothermal".

In the absence of geological studies, they are "pockets" of particular rocks which are "pierced", with swelling and catastrophe ... It is more of the "big nonsense" ... And the fault of "no luck", fans of PACs of this type will say ...

This has nothing to do with the deep experimental geothermal drilling of Soultz-sous-Forêt:

Deep geothermal energy is much more technical, and more expensive (it is "factories"), therefore better studied. Some volcanic countries derive part of their energy from it (Italy, Ireland, etc.). This does not guarantee that there will be no misses! Since there are even nuclear power plants that have it, it seems ... !!!
