Renewable energies: when we want, we can!

Renewable energies except solar electric or thermal (seeforums dedicated below): wind turbines, energy from the sea, hydraulic and hydroelectricity, biomass, biogas, deep geothermal energy ...

Latvia, European champion of renewable energy!
By Frédéric Ichay on April 21, 2011 19:36 pm | 3 comments

According to a report published by Eurostat (the statistical office of the European Union) on April 11, Latvia would be the European champion of renewable energies!

According to this report, in 2009 renewable energy was the main source of energy in Latvia and Sweden; however, it represented 36% of the energy produced in Latvia against 34% for Sweden. Latvia's goal is to reach a share of renewable energy representing 40% of its energy mix in 2020.

The legal system applicable to the development of renewable energies in Latvia is based on a tendering system (a system which, let us remember, has not worked very well in France for wind power and is now in place. for solar). Every year, the Latvian government sets an annual renewable energy quota to be reached, this quota differing from one energy to another.

Each year in October, the government launches a call for tenders and invites electricity producers to provide the electricity needed to meet these quotas. The conditions of the tenders differ from one energy to another. In addition, the demanded quantity of solar energy, biogas and biomass is higher compared to hydroelectricity and wind power. As for geothermal energy, it is not subject to this procedure.

The names of the winners will be known by the following November 31 at the latest. Major advantage: they will be able to sell their electricity at a guaranteed rate for 20 years for solar energy, and 10 years for other energies.

Latvia is a good example of the global reflection carried out by the countries of Europe on the need to increase the share of renewable energies in their energy mixes while keeping in mind their internal production constraints and their respective geopolitical issues.

You're not listening to Le Juste! Since we tell you that in France we don't need all this, we have green and safe renewable Nuke to ensure the well-being of some profiteers and the extinction of our species in the short term. : Mrgreen:

Certain, that to say, like Sarkozy, the renewable can replace the nuclear is to say a monstrosity, is monstrous, archival if we want and if we don't systematically forget effective and simple solutions, like the functional one:

that I admire to the point of repeating its existence, which escapes many !!!

It must be made cheap and only drilling holes is inconvenient to reduce the price, which is already quite low in collective construction on new well insulated houses.

You have to want it because there are lots of neglected variants.

The recovery of plants thrown or burnt in the open air, usable for heating is too neglected and I am amazed by the quantity that I see everywhere !!

We often complicate unnecessarily.

Thank you for the disaster: !!
I have saved the essentials in the past !! I just have to find it on my hard drive !!

A thesis on this subject borehole thermal energy storage which talks about dlsc with basic formulas:

Now, dede, return of the crank: you will have to edit and correct ALL THESE EXPIRED MESSAGES !!! And Bam !!! : Cheesy: : Cheesy:

Balance at least the .pdf (s) on a new subject :)

However, if the site is down, it may be that it was not such a good idea ... :| :|
