The ideal home?

by Grelinette » 09/01/10, 21:23

By dint of reading all the topics and comments on housing constructions, insulation, plaster, roofing, heating, lighting systems, ..., I ended up knowing more about what is best!
(Of course it also very often depends on the condition and configuration of the existing building).

So just like that, what do you think today would be the "ideal dwelling house"?

The parameters being of course in the order of importance (in my opinion):
1) respect for the environment
2) efficiency
3) the cost (realization, maintenance, consumption, ...)
4) ease of implementation or to find materials
5) ...

Simple answer: THE ideal home does not exist.
What to look for is rather the best econological compromise possible waiting with your needs and your desires.
A track (to take into account only the 1 point):
passive house or positive energy house
-built in materials available near the place of construction
- neither too big nor too small
-Near working place to go on foot or by bike
Only with these points, you have a job :!: : Cheesy:

Do you know this good old story of the "ideal woman" ???

I am doing it in a short version. This is the story of a guy, 25 years, normal what (as would say Coluche) his friends the charie because he is still married ...

One morning, amazement, we see him leaving the village a valsie in his hand ...

- But what happens to you? What are you doing here ????
- I'm going to find the ideal woman!

And then more news ... Spend a year ... Spend two years ... Nothing ... Not even a new one (at the time of this story, there was aps SMS, laptops .. .).

And one day, we see the boy come back ... tanned complexion ... Two-year-old brave ... Always his suitcase in his hand ... And alone!

- And so, where did you go? ... etc ...
- But then, you go around the world and you have not found, your ideal wife?
- Yes Yes !!!
- But then ???
- Well, she was looking for her ideal man!

In short, everyone has their ideal home. That said, the idea of a sort of "analytical grid" would be interesting. In other words, what to think about! Some points were mentioned by Swift.

The cost seems to me all the same a significant aspect. The aesthetics probably too.
I think that with global warming, since we build for 50 or 100 years:

- resistance to storms (I think that in our latitudes, the warming is accompanied more by an increase in turbulence)
- thermal inertia and in particular, for our old age, the "freshness" in the event of a heat wave (I am thinking of a semi-troglodyte house! A blind buried cool room ...)

I find it amusing that you speak of many technical questions for the ideal house without ever talking about the way you live there, the rooms, the food rooms, their facilities, the possible exchanges with the outside space ...

You talk about climate, but you do not talk about the place, whether there is an orchard in the garden, for an isolated house, or whether it's more like a house in a subdivision or a strip house to be close from the city and save on heating and ground ...

I like the technique, it is important, but it means happiness, not the end ...
