Hello,
I finally signed for Minco mixed aluminum / wood windows.
http://www.minco.fr/fr/CadrNoeva.htm
But, I was just told that the wood may rot under the aluminum, due to condensation.
What do you think..?
Normally there should be no problem, (these windows are supposed to be the best,) especially since I had never heard of this risk, but now I'm afraid.
Risks condensation on wood joinery alu wood

Who says that? It looks a lot like bullshit, urban legend style ...
For something to condense there must be a continuous circulation of humid air and a plate colder than the dew point of this air ...
So if the wood is glued to the aluminum there is absolutely no risk.

Well, the wood is not directly bonded to aluminum.
The aluminum cover is fixed to the wood by means of studs, to precisely leave an air gap between the wood and the aluminum.
"The aluminum profiles have no direct contact with the wood, a space of approximately 12 mm is respected to avoid condensation water between the wood and the profile." ..

I don't understand anything They want to avoid condensation by circulating air ??? 12mm it seems huge!
In any case on this image we don't see the 12mm space:
What is wood used for?

Ah well here, the reverse would have greatly surprised me, moreover on the 2 photos that you put above it is difficult to see where it could condense.
What is the dark gray part between aluminum and wood at the outer edge, it looks like a strip of expanded insulation?
