Hello,
I just plucked my zucchini stalks which gave nothing and I saw along the roots of white critters that I do not know.
I am attaching a photo as an attachment.
It would be really nice to enlighten me if you recognize them and tell me the cause of their presence.
Sincerely,
But what is it? Little white beasts on zucchini roots
Re: But what is it? Small white beasts on zucchini roots
It looks like a variety of root aphid, but I thought they mostly attack salads and artichokes.

Thank you very much for the speed of your response! Now that I have a lead, I'm going to look for the reason for their presence.

I did not know at all and this has what impact on the growth of the plant?
Apparently not good since your zucchini did not grow ... (if that is the only reason ???)
Do the coxitaupe exist?

Hello,
Except that my zucchini was growing, I don't know what the other consequences and causes are. I will keep these plants away from others as a precaution.
Ah if only the coxitaupes existed ...

Common on lettuces and carrots, in particular.
They are raised by the ants, which "milk" them ...
Their presence is linked to drought. I had it in the middle of summer one or the other year. They disappear, finally regress as soon as it is wetter ...
See the videos "Potager du Laesseux" "to water or not to water ..." of June 24 and its corrigendum of July 6 ...
