USA: girl shot dead in reality TV show

A girl was shot dead Sunday, May 16 in the United States during the filming of a police reality show. Seven-year-old Aiyana Jones was asleep in her bedroom when a Detroit homicide squad, filmed for “The First 7”, stormed the house, thinking they were capturing the murder suspect. of a high school student perpetrated in the street the previous Friday. The suspect is a friend of the girl's father. The Arts & Entertainment Network cameramen were not in the room when the shot, which hit the victim in the back of the neck, went off.
If the family lawyer, Karri Mitchell, says in The Detroit News that the parents of the young victim understand that the "cop is not a monster" and that he "did not intentionally shoot" their child , he nevertheless declares: “We know that it is about an accident, but the procedure used in the execution of the search warrant was not correct”.
According to him, the shooting of the show influenced the behavior of the police officers erected in stars, who were "overexcited". “They didn't have to throw a grenade through the window of the house when they knew there were children inside,” he explains. Neighbors had warned the police of the presence of children before the shooting, according to testimonies reported by the daily.
The police would have first justified themselves, vis-à-vis the family, by invoking an accidental shooting due in part to the intervention of the grandmother, who would have tried to neutralize the police officer's weapon ... An investigation is underway and the spokesperson for the police is now silent.
This isn't the first time a drama has touched the show. An officer in the Detroit homicide section often followed by The First 48, recently killed his wife with his service weapon before turning her on him in a parking lot.

The kind of news that makes my hair stand on end.
It must be said that nothing is enough: 30 years ago, I was shooting a Super 8 film at a jeweler friend's house (a robbery scene ...). Fortunately the neighbor came to tell us that someone who had seen the scene had warned the police ... we waited quietly on the doorstep ...
15 years later, for a smoke machine demonstration, we notified the firefighters ... no problems
