Editing shortcuts in Firefox with KeyConfig

by Christophe » 19/09/08, 12:59

Following this problem: https://www.econologie.com/forums/firefox-me ... t6177.html

KK1 knows if it is possible to edit the shortcuts in Firefox?
If yes, how?

Here is the list of keyboard shortcuts: http://support.mozilla.com/fr/kb/Raccourcis+clavier

Edit here is the solution (after a few galleys of version) http://forum.addonsmirror.net/index.php?showsujet=254

Direct link to the plugin for FF 1.0 to 3.0
http://forum.addonsmirror.net/ext/extfi ... 28-rep.xpi

At home it worked, to test with other versions of FF?

I copy what I said in the other subject:

I don't think so, in "general" shortcuts are hard-coded in the program when creating the menu.

In most programs it's like that.
Now can be by searching in the advanced config options of firefox by typing about: config in the address bar.

Perhaps a search path: an extension of Firefox that would ask you for confirmation when closing a tab?

Not stupid.
Isn't Tab browser the extension that allows you to customize actions with tabs?

I took a quick look in the about: config I found nothing that concerns the shortcuts anyway.

Yours if not by looking quickly like that.

I came across this: https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/3082
Undo Closed Tabs Button

Apparently it allows to reopen what we just closed. A little the principle of operation of the Windows Recycle Bin what.

Uh with the cache of an edit window or a form?

I am going to test but it seems a bit messy ... well if it prevents me from tearing the key off my keyboard.

But we cannot make it so that FF simply requests a systematic closing confirmation (which will be heavy in the long run but good ...)
