Not only, he wants to become president, but he is ready to rake wide for that:
Nicolas Sarkozy wants to recover votes to the FN and left

PARIS (Reuters) - Nicolas Sarkozy has drafted a strategy to recover votes on both the left and the far right in the 2007 presidential election.

Vis-à-vis the voters of the National Front of Jean-Marie Le Pen, the right must not be afraid to assert its "identity" and its "values", declared the Minister of the Interior during the last parliamentary day of the UMP before this deadline.

It is for not having done that the right regularly undergoes electoral defeats since 25 years, estimated the president of the UMP.

"This is the big question of the National Front, which we helped to create in our country by not assuming the values, ideas and a policy that the voters asked us at the time to defend", he said. -he explains.

"The National Front is not a creation exclusively of the left. The left has used the National Front. But if the National Front was able to prosper (...) it is because we had despaired them throughout these 30 years in which we had failed to assert a strong enough policy. "

"We do not have to bow to the single thought on a number of subjects", added Nicolas Sarkozy, who cited the question of immigration.

The UMP must therefore try to seduce the electorate of the FN, continued the Minister of the Interior.

"Why would you want me to stop myself from speaking to an electorate that was ours?" he asked. "For whose benefit? From a left which is preparing to govern with a Communist Party and with the most outdated and archaic far left in Europe?"

He notably cited a poll on insecurity, according to which 88% of French people, "including two-thirds of left-wing voters", would be in favor of the "minimum sentences" he proposes.

"What the French on the left think, maybe we, the representatives of the right and the center, we could do," he insisted.

AN "ORDER IN MOTION"

"But I think that we can also recover part of the electorate of the left, because there is a part of the French left (...) - and I could even recognize myself in its ideas - which considers that the order is only acceptable if it is a moving order, ”he added.

"Well this left, sincere, it has its place with us. We can not condemn it to vote for the most archaic Socialist Party in Europe."

Nicolas Sarkozy was referring, it seems, to the Republican Movement and citizen of the former Minister of the Interior Jean-Pierre Chevènement.

"Well this left one can recover it, and the same for the popular categories", he insisted. "At the same time that we have to be more courageous about our identity (...) we have to be more open to new themes."

"We cannot cut ourselves off from whole sections of society. We must be much more offensive on issues that do not belong to the left," he added.

He cited Europe, working time, purchasing power, family, discrimination, rights of homosexuals, for which he proposed a new "civil union contract", the situation of civil servants, on which one cannot "have as only speech that there are too many", or the "rogue bosses".

When a boss leaves with a "golden parachute", he stressed, "when he made a mistake at the head of his company, I consider that it is not normal, that it is not reasonable and I have no reason to give this gift to the left, to caricature our ideas because we would be modest in the expressions we would use. "

"This is the break that I call my wishes," concluded Nicolas Sarkozy.

About this survey (in red), it is part of the polls oriented to be wary.
The introduction to the survey was as follows: "About the recent assault on 2 CRS in Corbeil-Essonne, and more generally about delinquency (...) ".
But no such kind of introduction is not supposed to guide the answers ... : Evil:
The question with which the respondents had to give their degree of agreement was as follows: "Multi-repeat offenders should be given an automatic minimum sentence for each new offense".
It is obvious that the majority answers that it agrees. From there to say that 88% of French supports Sarko ....
As if by chance, it was "le Figaro" who commissioned this survey ... which you can find here: Figaro sounding

To go in the same direction as Targol, Doc Gynéco's cronyism with this dear Nicolas has surely not escaped you. The latter is indeed a "little master to think" for the singer. What is curious and reported by Le Monde is that Doc Gynéco released a book (whose title I no longer remember - but it's easy to find) in January 2006 in which he says all the wrong that he thinks of Sarkozy and he doesn't go with the back of the spoon.
And strangely, in 8 months, they became friends, or rather have a relationship of disciple to master.
There would be no pressure style, you stand with your firecrackers (to smoke of course), you're nice, you m'encesence or it's the sheet :?: :?: : Shock:
In any case, one thing is certain, Nicolas recruits wide.
