Even if the meter allows to display an instantaneous power in VA, the billing is done in KWh and does not change.
What can change is for very weak powers (I think). An 5 bulb w may not run a used meter disc, but for the electronic version, no problem. And the clever little ones can not intervene on the new one.

Correct and I think that a significant number of "anti Linky" activists were precisely "smart kids" ... : Cheesy:

You have information on it, because all that I found is this:
There is no difficulty in consulting the information given by the Linky counter. Simple presses of the + key or the - key allow you to instantly view the main parameters:
- The index of your consumption
- The tariff option of your contract: Base or Full Hours / Off Hours
- The contract power of your contract (usually from 3kVA to 12 kVA)
- Apparent power: this is the electrical power you use at the time of the consultation (expressed in VA)
- The maximum power reached in the day (information reset every day at midnight)
All this information alone can help you better control your energy.

The meter displays the instant conso in VA and worse, if it also displayed in W we could determine its cos phi.
Why display a conso in VA if we are charged in kWh?

Maybe because the subscription is subscribed in kVA :?:

As a result, it prevents people from complaining by saying: I have an 6 kVA subscription and my meter is cutting from 5,8kW ...

Yes the EDF subscriptions are well subscribed in kVA!

For other suppliers I do not know, but surely yes too ..

Good note and like: how is the cut on a disc meter?

It is not the meter that cuts, it is the circuit breaker downstream ... with a good margin (at least 10%).

Uh what circuit breaker?

A circuit breaker in the "EDF" box or elsewhere?

If it is elsewhere, I have never seen circuit breaker 25A (= 5.8 kW) in an electrical box ... 12, 16, 32A yes ... but not 25?

A subscription change therefore implies a change or adjustment of this circuit breaker?

Usually in the "EDF" box near the meter.

It is usually adjustable in a certain range:for example.

And it is sealed ... just so that we can not increase the setting without changing the subscription rate : Cheesy:

Ah yes I have already seen this kind of box :)

Logic for sealing ...

In Belgium, the whole box is sealed.
