To read you previously one could have the impression that Clermont-Ferrand became a desert ....

Well, with between 50mm and 75mm per month from May to August this year, here I am reassured! It's quite reasonable.

: Lol: : Lol:

what the global statistics do not say is that there were long intervals between the rains and in addition it was very hot so that in July in particular the plants have suffered well!

Fortunately, there was catch-up in August.

Just for my personal tablets: 1er 2017 freeze on the 31 October, which ended up giving a hangover to the tomato plants that had held up well!
Exceptional year for tomatoes, we will have eaten to make fart the belly!

The worst thing from my point of view is the zucchini! When it gives, even by picking them small, it quickly becomes gong .... And it is not very easy to preserve or freeze as is the tomato.

That said, I have neither preserved nor frozen tomatoes this year, we will try to do better next year!

The zucchini if allowed to ripen they keep a little. At the moment we make soups by adding more onions, pastries and cream.

yes it's true that at one time this summer we curled the overdose of zucchini despite their exceptional taste (I suggest you try the white Sicily, instead provide space around!) ...
but this episode passed we were generally feasted and we still eat at this time (the last are in my vegetable and still hold well). I have accomodated them with all the sauces and all the possible soups! : Mrgreen:

On the other hand tomatoes we did not manage to disgust it and we will benefit again this winter with the dried tomatoes and the sauces: it is still the foot to have a kitchen garden! : Wink:

Congratulations, your production was double of mine (only one with the same head as on your photo), with 3 attempts to sow, the 1er in the ground, the other 2 in pots then transplanting : Cheesy:
Next year, I try with another variety.
