Plan seeks to make a discoid alternator

Present your DIY projects, your new technical ideas, your innovations to test or your self-construction work. Because doing it yourself is often more economical and can be more efficient.

Bonjour,

what kind ??

http://www.thewindpower.net/forum/viewt ... =23&t=1541

;)

Good the best advice I can give you are:

Privilege large diameter rotor
a max of magnet 24 it's great and by face not in all (48 in all)

Either with generators created on the principle of MR FORBES, you will have to work with large diameters to have a speed of rotation of fast magnet plus there is magnet more it is fast too;). I would say that I would privilege the low voltage ahut voltage type 24v to 48v (early generation issue and smaller losses).

Otherwise you make a smaller generator but in radial mode and you will see the pictures and you ask the owner to explain everything to you;), I think that it is best seen the results obtained (with more than medium lol but still it tears are aeolian at Primrose):

https://www.econologie.com/forums/photos-pet ... t9278.html

If you have:

3w.Thewindpower.net
3w.thebackshed.com
3w.yahoo axialflux group .com (
3w.otherpower.com
3w.micro-energie.com (site where you will be able to find a Franco-German realization of very very beautiful invoice with a super modest prx and real performances;), not paper performances lol),

and plans in otherpower and especially in the forum you will find;), complete reaming side for three 4 up to 6 kw same, with all the electronics that go well;).

a wind turbine is a set not just a generator.

in a wind turbine you have:

a mat (important the mat yes yes)
rotation with rotating contact;) importat contacts
a generator And a rotor And a regulator that are one;)
connecting cables;) important cables too
AC lightning protection
energy storage
a transformation of this energy store

The whole being now to define your need and utility and UTILIZATION, on a campervan on a mountain or a hill at 50 or 3 m high, your place of use will depend a lot of things;).

Otherwise for fun it's great to do but it becomes a disease for some;) a good disease :) .

go good luck and read and have more and if you really want just plans all good luck for 300 w same primrose has the plan in that head but not on paper;).

A yes 300w it does not mean anything;), 300 w max, 300w has 10 RPM
300 w at 40km / h wind ??? You will need to cosomer how much per day, or it's for fun ???

see you

It's strange, but via google with different keywords, we do not find plans for explicit construction of a discoidal alternator. Kind a typical example given for a certain power / voltage with means of calculations to adapt a construction to its needs. The videos found on youtube do not give any instructions on the construction.

there is this video
http://fr.kendincos.net/video-nlvtddp-h ... rbine.html

But ... in English snif :| and nothing very explicit either.

found that, but it's still vague and the components of course are indicative, by cons watching the price of neodymium magnets I fainted a few seconds
http://www.andrehomepages.fr/index.php? ... &Itemid=56

The site gives a price of 7 euros per magnets. For 24 magnets = 168 euros just for the magnets? and good I looked on the net kind 1 round neodymium magnet diameter 30 thickness 10mm is given at 5 euros and 5x24 = 120 euros, not counting the copper coils, screws and bolts. Well I think that calms the desire to manufacture its alternator, finally I will look for something else I believe or consider the purchase of the generator mentioned above, I will think about that. Unless magnets with a thickness of 3mm or 5mm can suffice, the price is then already much more affordable in quantity> 20 on supermagnetes (40 to 50 euros for 24 magnets).

End

look on the Ebays store there are specials sometimes, I nabbed 16 grade N50 rectangle blocks size 2 "* 1" *. 5 "for 40 auros;).

You can stack the magnet to increase their power;) look on supermagnet.

Read what I told you;).

If you want to put less magnet on a radial configuration and not axial.

And pay attention to the values that the sellers mark on their product, especially about the wind turbine, combines your promise? little bit for the small or micro;).

At the same time, since you are looking for a plan, you are actually buying a ready-made generator, but do not think that your problems will be solved so far, you will have the same idea to calculate after the generator test and measurement. the electronics also to make or to buy etc.

Check if you're really not motivated or according to what you want to do too and bine you rather directed at all from one end to the other kind that Micro energy;) for example (I do not have on the other hand, but I followed the progress and talked with hadrien who made it. I even had a calculus of blades for my little beast;) cool. So I say that because with his you will have what he tells you that you will have in production;), and it is important.

short if you want to make calculations you can;), you just managed the math like crazy that's all;) in magnetism.

If you are really motivated to build something then ask and I charge my possible to help you;), And ask a primevere;) by mp he will be able to advise you too;).

See you

Hi Darwenn,

I bought Hugh Piggott's book online: a Bible!
It took 6 days for me to receive it (UK- »Canada), it's very detailed, it's full of tips and tricks and the shots and views are on the scale and of course, very readable .

Hello DARWENN,

perso I am also making me a vertical wind turbine ..
I found my inspiration on these two sites:
http://www.windgenkits.com/
http://www.windstuffnow.com/main/vawt.htm

For my magnets, I took them to the United States ..
