Parliamentary report Ollier puts wind in the hot seat

by recyclinage » 27/03/10, 09:54

A parliamentary report denounces "expensive windfall effects" of wind energy whose installations "are at the price + significant additional costs +", wrote Le Figaro on Saturday.

"It is necessary to assess at regular intervals, at what costs and for what benefits are granted aid from public funds or supported by the end consumer", is it written in one of the latest versions of the report led by Patrick Ollier, the chairman of the Assembly's economic affairs committee, quoted by the conservative daily.

"According to the document", writes the daily, "these installations are done at the price + significant additional costs +, in particular by the valuation of the tonne of CO2 avoided: + between 230 and 240 euros per tonne, against 2 euros for insulation thermal + ".

"The deputies stress that + wind power is obviously a good deal." And this despite the fact that the feed-in tariff for wind power in France is one of the lowest in Europe, "continues Le Figaro.

In ten years, the newspaper notes, "the wind power market has grown by 25% per year in the world". "France is in 7th place in cumulative power (4,5 gigawatts) far behind Germany (25,8 GW) but ahead of Great Britain (4 GW)."

after putting the photovoltaics in the shade, we may be sawing the wind masts ...

While the same Patrick seeds the nuclear industry
Patrick ollier welcomes the government's decision to opt for the candidacy of Alstom and Schneider in the context of the sale of the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) division of the nuclear group Areva. He considers that this choice corresponds to the wishes of the vast majority of the members of the Committee on Economic Affairs, who are concerned with the development of systems as well as services intended for the transmission and distribution of electricity. " This scheduled sale of Aréva T&D in 2010 will keep one of the flagships of our industry within the fold of French companies with an international dimension ”, declared Patrick Ollier, Chairman of the Economic Affairs Committee

Et had campaigned strongly against wind power in 2005 ...
Patrick Ollier presented, during the debate on orientation laws on energy in 2005, an amendment on wind energy, said "Ollier amendment", aimed at raising the compulsory purchase floor by EDF for electricity produced by wind farms to more than 30 MW (against less than 12 MW previously), which provoked an outcry from associations and organizations defending the environment and promoting renewable energies. Faced with the mobilization generated, the amendment was finally withdrawn by the Senate.

It's going against the direction ... of the wind. : Idea: et the Bretons took their breath away

Patience, we have to wait for another Chernobyl in France, inevitable sooner or later since man is not infallible, before we discover on nuclear that
It is necessary to assess at regular intervals, at what costs and for which benefits are granted aid from public funds or borne by the final consumer

catastrophic cost for nuclear power, hidden future deaths, economic disaster for France (Chernobyl caused the USSR to collapse), with an essential region evacuated overnight and banned from human life for centuries, etc. .
So we regret the wind and its little noise !!!
You must ask for an insurance contribution for a future Chernobyl, as for other disasters !!

It was communism that caused the USSR to collapse !!!!

If we don't make nuclear power, we make coal as is the case elsewhere ... Coal has made far more deaths than nuclear power ...

if the security chains are well regulated there should no longer be any problem with nuclear

but many believe that this is not an ecological and philosophical solution for generations to come

else see it as a technological boon and quality of life

and others don't even know what you're talking about
