Re: Air pollution by the largest unauthorized dumping of tires in Spain
who is the worst criminal?
the one who sets fire?
the one who puts tires in a wild dump?
the government which subsidizes a recovery sector which does not give a positive value to the old tire, therefore encourages wild dumping? i think the main culprit is the
if the old tire was bought at a certain value even low it would not drag
while waiting for the tires to have a real value because we will be many to have gasogenogen recognized as a good way to burn them and that there will be economic shredder to put the tires in an easily storable form, it is necessary to store the whole tire!
the gasifier (rather called gasification in current jargon) is a way to burn the tires ecologically, the first part of combustion works at moderate temperature which allows to recover the iron well without melting it is mixing it with ash ... without even heating it too much to mix it with sulfur ... the gasifier gas can then be chemically treated to absorb sulfur acid and other piggy
the treatment of the gasifier gas is infinitely easier than the treatment of the smoke: if one tries to treat the smoke with lime, that would soon absorb the CO2 which is the main component of the smoke ... the energy to manufacture the lime would be superior to the energy of combustion ... in the gasifier gas there is no CO2 therefore a small amount of lime soda or potash allows to obtain a gas which will burn cleanly
just put a little lime in the gasifier fuel to find the lime in the ash
in the meantime, old tires must be stored safely: under cover so as not to make standing water to grow mosquitoes, in an occupied place and with water storage available to be able to put out in the event of a fire criminal

Re: Air pollution by the largest unauthorized dumping of tires in Spain
in general this kind of fire ended for lack of fuel when everything burned ... how do you want it to end differently
why incur costs when there is no value to save?
and in France the heaps of tires burned by the greviste?
