He spoke good emitter of 2000 kW ... but we're talking about? The power input or output?
You're right it is the power radiated during the day (1 MW at night), even if the efficiency at this power is very good, it is necessary to at least count 1/3 more :D

So a big radio transmitter is still useful!
Radio amateurs provide this type of service.

The technique also makes it possible to send time signals with much less HF power (2 X less without AM modulation). The carrier could be activated to send these signals 1 time / hour and retain the possibility of transmitting at full power in the event of a disaster.

RNT should be able to provide this service, but is slow to set up due to lack of agreements.

Must also see that the reception in GO AM is more and more disturbed by the PLC, the parasites of everything that makes sparks, poorly shielded switching power supplies of our lamps, chargers ...

Uh ... Or about 50 MWh per day? (In € per kWh 0.1)
Or just over 2 MW 24 / 24 ??
Yes for power.

For the tariff, on the other hand, in this power range the tariff is much lower.
In the green tariff (which disappeared on January 1, 2016), the kWh varied from 2,9 to 7,4 c € with an annual average of 4,88c € / kWh

The cost for 48000 kWh is therefore € 2340 per day, and since the transmitter is at half power at night, it must be less than € 2000 per day.

350m pylons? Crazy I can not at all realize that this is 50m higher than the Eiffel Tower and more than 2 times Strasbourg cathedral ...

A photomontage would be nice!

Yes, the size of transmitters in a century has gone from the Eiffel Tower to a small chip in our pocket !!

that's the problem, the multitude of parasites makes the reception on the big wave more and more bad, so decreases its usefulness against FM ... but since no one uses the radio big wave it loses its quality of means of information in the event of a crisis ... and this rustic means of information is likely to be lacking if it is needed

see how the angletere covered a large part of France during the last war! it was in the big wave ... now with FM radio or GSM phone there is no equivalent posibility

I think it would be possible to use the large wave frequency band with a more modern modulation than the current amplitude modulation: digital means, to make a sufficient sound quality to take up its place, and integrate with mobile phones reception new wave standard received everywhere in France without any hole, and give it back its double role: generalist radio for everyone and reliable means of information in case of crisis

If the reason for stopping the broadcasting of France Inter is elsewhere, we could look for much more profitable financial maneuvers made with the banks. They are ready to pay / rent at high prices for important radio antennas to route signals / sales orders / purchases between major European / global exchanges faster than other cable networks etc ... this allows them to traffic the stock market prices without the knowledge of their own free will faster than their partners. There was a thread talking about this, but I couldn't find it. :|

From memory, among the reasons for the "shortage" of antenna, there are the problems related to authorizations, almost impossible to obtain for new ones.

Uh is that a reliable method? Because anyone can hack a radio wave ... provided you have a fairly powerful transmitter! How is it faster than cables which are already not far from the speed of light?

Speaking of banks, did you see that from January 1, France became "Cypriot"? A beautiful law of bastards to save the bullshit of banker thieves (when they win it's for their pockets, when they lose it's for ours !!)

Law passed in August ... it seems to me in a great merdiatic silence ... obviously ...

a 2MW radio transmitter is difficult to hack ... to cover it you need an even more powerful one ... the Germans tried to scramble radio London but it was never powerful enough they added their music on top but we always understood the main message

it is also the superiority of the radio amplitude modulation, it is not high fidelity for the music but it is rustic the main message always passes, in FM when it passes it is perfect when it is disturbed nothing happens at all ... and digital modulation is even worse, like TNT ... the old television when the reception was poor there was snow but we could still follow, with TNT at the slightest drop in quality there is nothing at all

I think it is important to keep rustic information resources in working order, hoping that it will never be used ... France is not within 2MW ... even if for econology the energy saving is important 2MW for the whole of France how much per capita?

Well no ... it depends on the distance!

If you are very close to the receiver (and the 2MW transmitter very far), low power is enough ...

When I was a teenager, Velleman (who has since become a supplier to the store forums) offered an FM broadcast kit ...

We could very well hack the signal of an FM radio provided that we are close to the receiver (in stores for example ... :D We did it at FNAC!)

This very interesting kit unfortunately no longer exists! Obviously it could have been used to do a lot of bullshit ... style false bomb threat or false information in any store or public place connected to the FM! (and in my opinion it happened that's why Velleman no longer offers it ... now a good electronics engineer could re conceive one! There was obviously a microphone included)

you're talking about FM = frequency modulation

in FM the strongest broadcast completely removes the weakest broadcast

in amplitude modulation it is more difficult: the receiver gives the sum of the 2 transmissions ... a certain power blurs a little but does not make the emission disappear ... to completely cover it requires a much stronger power

this preference for radio amplitude modulation exists in another field: aviation radio: always in amplitude modulation for its high reliability in the absence of its poor sound quality

in FM a slightly stronger power completely eliminates the emission that one wants to scramble ... in AM the jamming is heard! we hear the mixture

a large medium wave pirate transmitter will water a weak area with the real inter France broadcast always noticeable not entirely hidden unlike low power FM broadcasts which are very easy to cover completely

It confirms that a large transmitter on the long wave is a useful means of information that should not be lost.
