Roll with vegetable oil: Diesel, TD, TDi, HDi, DCi

by jonule » 11/08/08, 16:28

well, after much procrastination "à la française" (TIPP) it must be said: the engine invented by rudolf diesel has undergone modifications since its invention, most often adapted to run on petroleum, that works very well for vegetable oil, with some modifications.

we already knew it very well for the D and TD (turbo) engines, but nobody (or really very little) dared to convert a TDi, HDi or DCi vehicle, even if it exceeded the warranty period ( for the case of self installations, otherwise the pros deliver the guarantee of assembly).

in Germany rapeseed oil (which produces cakes, animal feeds) is sold as a pump on the roadside (like Biogas in Sweden), and new cars are offered with a biréservoir kit.

obviously in France it is not for today! it was not for yesterday anyway, communication problem?
so for those who want to visit Germany for example, do not forget to go to the garages that will change your diesel common rail and other HDi, TDi etc ...

first, let's go for a little documentation:
http://www.atg-france.fr/Kits-bicarburation.html
http://www.nicefuture.ch/index.php?IDth ... 4&langue=F
http://www.dieselveg.com/conversion%20info.htm

http://www.greensolutions.eu/carburants.html
http://www.dieselveg.com/inj_pump_id.htm
http://www.elsbett.com/fr/technologie-d ... iture.html

we obviously expect the first reactions of these news that date from quite a few years, we also expect the first to go bones convert their vehicles!
what kind of fear exactly? where is she from ? suspense ......

Pkoi you put lots of links to more or less reliable sites (metheco is the guy who had his engine out of service during a report FR2 it seems to me to see or see again here: https://www.econologie.com/envoye-specia ... -3463.html ) while there is news much more serious and reliable on econo and in particular downloads?

Last example in date: https://www.econologie.com/huile-biocarb ... -3882.html

How do you want a kit seller to talk about fouling?

To my knowledge, no kit seller currently offers an "oil + water doping" combo ...

It's a shame and it betrays a certain lack of knowledge of the mechanics on their part ...

Well Deutz's article I was unaware and say that it dates from 2006 ...

hello christophe, I put the article methéco because I quote:
Training diesel mechanic, Jean-Claude Joseph in Imbsheim installs adaptation kits for all tractors
IMBSHEIM In Alsace, the Methéco company offers adaptation. According to him, for older models of diesel engines, only Bosch injection pumps resist and accept HVB. All new HDI type engines, CDI and TDI, accept HVB 100%, moreover "in Germany it is widespread," says the mechanic. The installation consists of mounting tilt kits and intervening on the injection electronics. The issue of clutter for wine tractors can arise, but Jean-Claude Joseph has various and varied solutions. To reach him, call 06 72 77 90 14.

I know that metheco wanted to offer in its shop the famous T ° C 300 ° C probe to be placed at the exhaust outlet, to control the automatic passage of the kit on oil when the T ° C drops, so as not to clog the engine: that's how a kit builder talks about clogging ;-)

Well, I did not find his probe, can I use another injection parameter available to use this possibility, because it must already exist I think ...

for your link, I still do not have the password econology, I call the good souls who would like to send me by MP to access your file Christophe! -)

And to say that you have close to 1500 messages on forums...

I know that the system is not necessarily easy to understand but still ...

kestuveu person he is perfect! : Cheesy:

good, to return to the kit bireservoir adapted to direct injections (yes there is necessarily need on indirect injection, my case since 6 years, 100% summer 90% winter, so cheaper) I synthesize:

"
Specialty TDi direct injection engines HDi DCi:
These modifications are already proposed by the manufacturers of new vehicles in Germany (mercedes, tractors), for example, where the oil is distributed on the side of the road by pump ("Rapsoil", 0.7 € / L) the guaranteed assembly ( €€€) and the insurance that goes with it. the common rails are particularly well suited, youpi tralala.
For vehicles with dircete injections where the chamber T ° C is lower than the indirect injections (which have a combustion prechamber driving at 500-600 ° C from 10% of engine load), be careful to switch back to mode. diesel when the engine is "cold", ie at idle speed or without load, for this it is necessary to monitor:
- the exhaust temperature via a T ° C probe at the motor output, because this T ° C is proportional to the chamber T ° C (300 ° C minimum for the oil).
- the engine rotation speed via the RPM sensor tachometer (1500 rpm for oil, or increase "high idle" when cold).
the switch (switch) of the kit will be done automatically.
"
Image
for filtration it will be 1μm (always ideally at 15 ° C as for the 5μm of other standards).
for the prewash pump it will no longer be 0.5bars (indirect injection) but 4 at 6 bars.

to quote the CIRAD study (of average quality):
"
no modifications for indirect injections
extended engine life in oil
yields are increased with sunflower
exhaust pollution is in favor of vegetable oil
"
